Enterprise customers will benefit from managed SD-WAN services in Italy
Frankfurt am Main / Milan, November 22, 2018 – ngena, the Next Generation Enterprise Network Alliance (www.ngena.net), announces today that Retelit – leading telecommunications data and infrastructure services Italian player – is joining the global telecommunications alliance. By joining ngena, Retelit will deliver global SD-WAN services (Software Defined Wide Area Networks) to its enterprise customers. ngena will benefit from Retelit top connectivity services in Italy in order to serve the alliance partner’s customers.
ngena SD-WAN allows enterprises to benefit from consistent data connectivity services around the globe, turning the networks of alliance partners into one Software Defined Network (SDN). The architecture is based on sharing the local network assets using cloud and virtualization technology to provide hybrid VPN services. This allows enterprise customers of each member of the alliance to have a global data connectivity network which is secure, stable, scalable and easy to use, while being supported by the local access and local care of each alliance member.

Since its official announcement at the Mobile World Congress in February 2016, ngena has seen 22 strong international partners around the globe joining the alliance.

Since August 2017, Jörg is the Head of Marketing at Frankfurt-based telecommunications start-up ngena, the ‘Next Generation Enterprise Network Alliance’, where he is responsible for building a global brand for the international telco alliance. Before joining ngena, he worked as Head of Communications Central Europe at British Cloud software vendor Sage Group plc for more than 10 years. From 2004 to 2007 he acted as Director Internal & External Communications at British telco operator COLT Telecom. Jörg, who holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy and Comparative Literature, started his career as a journalist for the German IT-business magazine iCONOMY.
