Insights from Cisco IMPACT FY20

August 27 – 29, 2019

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Last week, ngena had the outstanding opportunity to participate in Cisco IMPACT in Las Vegas. Formerly known as GSX, IMPACT is the company’s annual conference for sellers, including direct and partner sales representatives. This year the event had over 18,000 attendees from over 98 countries and provided timely information on Cisco company strategy, competitive threats, and relevant industry trends to watch through a robust agenda of general, breakout, and specialist sessions.

Our booth in the Partner Showcase was manned by Founder and Managing Director, Marcus Hacke; CCO & Managing Director, Bart de Graaff; and Head of Product and Presales, Dietmar Geiler all based out of Frankfurt, Germany along with ngena’s new Partner Success Executive, Daniel Estrada based out of Miami, Florida. With a steady stream of visitors thanks to a combination of social media outreach and word of mouth, we were able to share our unique value proposition with hundreds of Cisco sales reps – some who had heard of ngena and wanted to learn more, and others who were learning about us for the first time.

“It was exciting to hear over and over again that Cisco customers around the world are looking for a proven SD-WAN as a service solution like ngena,” said Bart de Graaff. “Our flexible, template-based, fully managed, SD-WAN solution that can be up and running in weeks instead of months was especially appealing.”

Other conversations at the booth focused on the ngena ecosystem and how we have built a platform that leverages Cisco Viptela but wraps a broad service catalogue around it to deliver a fully managed end-to-end service.

Engrossed in engaging discussions with cisco sales reps at ngena’s booth

An important topic brought up in the discussions with the Cisco sales reps was around compensation,” said Daniel Estrada, Partner Success Executive at ngena. “It was great to see the positive response when we shared that they are fully compensated for any Cisco hardware sold, regardless of the ngena partner who sells it.”

In addition to the extraordinary conversations our team had at IMPACT and the new contacts that were made, everyone was impressed by the quality of the event overall. From the content presented in the sessions and the many innovative networking opportunities, to the food and the entertainment, it was a world-class experience that we are grateful to have been part of.

Thanks Cisco team. We look forward to our continued partnership.
