Marcus developed the idea and concept behind ngena, and has been the company’s Managing Director since its formation in February 2016. From 2004 until then, he worked at Deutsche Telekom Group where he held several managerial positions in Sales, Delivery and Product Management. In these roles, his responsibilities included global provisioning and operations of telecommunications solutions, as well as the development of a global IT portfolio. Before joining Deutsche Telekom, Marcus spent seven years as a business consultant with McKinsey & Company, focusing on the IT and telecommunications industries. Marcus holds a doctorate in physics, and recently won the Network Transformation Awards 2018 for “Individual Achievements” for his contribution to the ongoing global network transformation process and his achievements in the SDN world.
Bart de Graaff joined ngena as the Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer in May 2019. In this role, Bart works with the ngena team to elevate partner and end-customer experience along with realizing sustainable growth by continuous business development and introducing new value-added services to the platform. Prior to joining ngena, Bart spent over 20 years working with global consultancies and IT powerhouses. For 12 years, he was the managing director at Accenture, running cloud sales, solution and operations as well as creating digital and data-driven client programs. He also worked in enterprise architecture at Perot Systems Corp. Bart is passionate about helping companies and teams exceed their own expectations and prides himself in finding unique alternatives to challenges by utilizing new and proven technology. He joined ngena because he wanted to be a part of innovating the core of any digital business: the network.
Lars is leading the Partner Management team at ngena since the company’s formation in February 2016. Before joining ngena, he worked for T-Systems International from 2000 onwards, where he held several managerial positions in Sales, Sales Operations, and Business Development. Growing TC and IT business in Asia and the Americas was a part of his international responsibilities at T-Systems. From 2008 till 2011 he held the position of VP Sales Operations IT&TC for South and North America. Before his tenure at T-Systems, Lars worked as global account manager TC services for several German-based multinational accounts at Deutsche Telekom. With a passion and focus for the telco sector from the very beginning, Lars started his career with a Diploma in Telecommunications from Fachhochschule DBP in Berlin.
Dietmar has played an integral role in founding ngena since 2016 and leads the Product & Presales team. Prior to ngena, he worked for over 15 years at Deutsche Telekom Group where he was a Senior Executive with broad responsibilities for Product and Portfolio Management (Voice & Data Services, Global VPN Services, LAN & Campus Networks, ICT Security Services), and was also responsible for the global TC Portfolio of T-Systems Local Business Units worldwide. Before that, Dietmar worked as a Technical Consultant, focusing on ramping up the “new Telco” VIAG Interkom. Dietmar studied communications engineering, with a focused study evaluating WIRELESS LOCAL LOOP (WLL).
Coming with more than 25 years’ of extensive experience, Joerg is heading the operations and service delivery at ngena from the inception of the company in 2016. In this role he is responsible for operational relations with network service providers and logistic partners worldwide, service fulfilment and assurance as well as the operations for service and infrastructure. Prior to ngena, Joerg worked for Deutsche Telekom Group as Vice President Platform Operations from 2004 to 2016. During this time, he established Deutsche Telekom’s global MPLS fulfilment, assurance and vendor management organisations. He also looked after trusted customer relations on CIO level with large corporates. Before joining Deutsche Telekom, Joerg held senior positions in the fields of engineering, planning, contract and product management with telcos and telco suppliers from around the world.
Thomas has over 20 years’ experience in the telco sector and joined ngena as Head of Network & Platforms in the company’s earliest days back in 2016. In this role, he is responsible for all engineering matters connected with network and platform infrastructure, testing and security. Thomas is also responsible for overseeing the Data Privacy strategy, as well as the implementation and operation of ngena’s office IT infrastructure. Before joining ngena, he worked for five years at Deutsche Telekom Group as Vice President, where he was responsible for Engineering, Product Development and Customer Projects. Prior to Deutsche Telekom, Thomas worked for several years at BT Global Service as Senior Manager where he headed various teams in Network, Customer Service and Pre-Sales Engineering.
Shiva is a Co-Lead for Business IT and Processes at ngena since February 2019, where he is in charge of running ngena’s Business IT platform for its international alliance partners. Shiva joined the ngena team in early 2017 as Lead Enterprise Architect to roll out its business IT platform. Since then he has been working with ngena’s technology and telecommunication partners to integrate their IT platforms with ngena’s to ensure smooth and timely delivery of SD-WAN services. Prior to joining ngena, Shiva worked with Orga Systems/Redknee Inc., a leading vendor of customer care and billing solutions, where he helped the organization establish Consulting & Delivery Centres in Malaysia and India and delivered projects globally. Shiva holds Master’s in Business Administration from Edinburgh Napier University and Bachelor’s in Computer Science & Engineering from University BDT College of Engineering, Davangere.
Yavor is a Co-Lead for Business IT and Processes at ngena since February 2019, overseeing a team of highly skilled IT and Process professionals. He joined the company in 2017 as a Process Architect and was also responsible for the roadmap development and planning of ngena’s BSS/OSS platform. Before joining ngena, Yavor worked for two years at the European Central Bank (ECB) as an external consultant, where he was heavily involved in designing, implementing, streamlining and continually improving the IT Service management process landscape, based on ITIL best practices. Prior to ECB, he spent eight years at Hewlett-Packard, working in the areas of IT support, IT Service Management and project management. During that time, he had number of roles, including managerial and leadership positions. Yavor holds Master’s degree in Economics and Bachelor of Business Administration. He has been awarded professional certificates in IT service Management and Project Management such as ITIL Expert, Prince 2 Practitioner and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Oliver Hübner has been responsible for contract management, regulatory affairs and corporate strategy within ngena since 2016. Before ngena, he worked for Deutsche Telekom’s Center for Strategic Projects where he successfully managed several transformation programs and initiatives. Before that, he worked at Vodafone, where he oversaw corporate strategy development and implementation, especially in the German B2B arena. Prior to Vodafone, he worked for Accenture Consulting where he successfully optimised various telecommunication operators’ processes. Oliver started his career at Lucent Technologies as a systems engineer, where he was responsible for selling and implementing IP Services solutions for different customers. He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from TU Braunschweig and an MBA from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
Yulia is an experienced lawyer with a particular focus on international ICT business and joined ngena in 2017. As General Counsel, Yulia provides expert and strategic legal advice on all company matters including telecommunications, commercial, corporate, data protection, IP and regulatory issues. Before joining ngena, Yulia worked at Nintendo of Europe, where she managed the legal team responsible for preparing software, hardware and online-based products for the European market. Yulia studied law in a number of countries including Germany, the US and the UK. She holds a Master of Laws degree from the Central European University (Hungary) and a Doctor Juris degree from Max-Weber-Kolleg of the University of Erfurt (Germany).
Frank has 10+ years of professional experience in Finance and joined ngena as Head of Finance at the beginning of 2016. In this role, he is in charge of all financials matters, including accounting, reporting and cash management. Frank is also responsible for overseeing the business-planning, budgetary and forecasting process, as well as for executing procedures to support ngena’s business goals. Prior to joining ngena, Frank worked for several years at Deutsche Telekom Group as Senior Finance Manager, where he led several key projects focusing on M&A and Corporate Strategy to advance Deutsche Telekom’s transformation process. He started his career in finance in the 2000s as Senior Consultant for Corporate Finance and Transaction Advisory. While working for one of the leading international audit and consulting firms, Frank acquired a comprehensive understanding of the financial challenges confronting technology-driven business models.
Christof has 25+ years of professional experience in Human Resources and joined ngena as Head of HR at the beginning of 2017. In this role, he is in charge of all people related topics, including Recruiting, Organisational Structure, HR Administration and Culture. Christof also takes care of the Facility Management and Health & Safety at ngena. Previously, Christof worked as HR Director for Schering Plough and Merck Inc. (Pharma) and gained experience in Transformation Processes, Change Management and HR Outsourcing Projects. Prior to that, Christof worked in the consulting business for Cap Gemini as HR Director focussing on Recruiting, Talent & Performance Management.
